Huntington Beach, California, October 10, 2003 - The SMD275 Series of single output Medical power supplies is now available with a low profile fan cover accessory. This allows the Medical OEM to package the power source in a dimension of 2.05"H x 8.0"L x 5.0"W. The SMD275 series features power factor correction (PFC) for use in systems for worldwide applications. These models have been designed with conservative de-rating and design margins to ensure reliable operation in the most demanding medical system environment.
The SMD275 single-output power supply is available in 7 models with output voltages of 12, 15, 24, 28, 30, 36 and 48 Vdc. It can provide 200 W continuous power with convection cooling or 275 W power with 30 cfm of forced-air cooling.
The SMD275 series products offer the following features:
Meets worldwide medical safety requirements, including UL2601, GSA 22.2, No. 601.1, and EN60601.
Power Factor Correction (PFC) to meet demanding global requirements.
Compact footprint: a mere 5.0" W x 8.0" L x 2.05" H, and provides 4.0 watts per cubic inch power density.
Remote sense, AC Power Fail, and DC Power Good signals are standard.
