CDI Introduces Hi-Rel, Multiple output Medical Switcher
Power-Factor-Corrected, 200 Watt SMM200 Features High Current Auxiliary Outputs
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. June 6, 2003 - Conversion Devices, Inc. a merchant supplier of medical power supplies has announced the introduction of its SMM200 family of medical grade switchers. This is the latest addition to its ever-expanding Eagle Series line of products. The compact 4.5"W x 8.5"L x 1.7H" power supply delivers up to 200 Watts of total power dependent on output voltage/current combinations. It features active power factor correction to minimize input harmonic distortion. The SMM200 operates on wide global input mains of 85-264VAC. The PS delivers 250W of total power with option -C fan cover assembly. With 150 LFM of directed airflow, the power supply delivers 200 watts of output power. This Hi-Rel switcher is ideally suited for a wide variety of medical applications including: medical diagnostic devices, patient monitors, ophthalmic surgical equipment, and respiratory systems where reliable power is critical.
Only 1.7 inches high, the SMM200 has a compact footprint of only 4.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches long. The unit also features high current auxiliary outputs with voltages from 5V to 24V as well as overload, over-voltage and thermal protection.
It includes a built-in Class B EMI filter, power fail, DC good, remote sense, and remote inhibit. The new SMM200 model has an operating temperature range of zero to 50°C without derating and can function up to 70°C by derating the output 2.5 percent per degree C.
The SMM200 complies with worldwide medical safety and performance standards from UL, CSA, and TUV.
