Huntington Beach, California, September 12, 2003 - Conversion Devices, Inc. announces four new medical power supply models for the OEM Medical Device markets. CDI has extended its line of EAGLE SERIES Power Factor Corrected (PFC) medical power supplies with four high-density products. The new models are available in both single and multiple output designs. They include two single output offerings at 175W and 275W output power, and two multiple output models with 200W and 225W output power.

The Eagle Series Medical Power Supplies meet the stringent requirements of IEC601-1 for medical equipment devices designed for worldwide markets. The new Eagles broaden CDI’s family of low leakage, PFC medical power supplies, which now extend up to 350 watts. In addition, these new models all provide state-of-the-art performance, with significant advantages over competing models:

• Smaller footprint (up to 33% smaller) and overall volume (up to 30% less)
• Lower-cost for equivalent power output
• Many additional features incorporated, such as dual AC fusing, power fail warning, remote sense, auxiliary fan output, thermal shutdown and an optional cover with fan

The new models include:

SMD175 single output medical power supply

• Provides 200W of continuous power with forced-air cooling, or 150W with unrestricted convection cooling.
• Standard versions available with 12V, 15V, 24V, 28V, 30V, 36V or 48V output
• Over 80% efficiency including PFC input
• Small 4.5" x 7.0" x 1.5" size, with 4.2 watts/cubic inch power density.
• Power fail warning, DC-OK, thermal shutdown, external/off and remote sensing

SMD275 single output medical power supply

• Provides 300W of continuous power with fan cover option "C". 275W of continuous power with forced-air cooling.
• Standard versions available with 12V, 15V, 24V, 28V, 30V, 36V or 48V output
• Small 5.0" x 7.5" x 1.75" size, with 4.5 watts/cubic inch power density.
• Power fail warning, DC-OK, thermal shutdown, external/off and remote sensing

SMM200 multiple output medical power supply

• Provide 200W of continuous power with forced-air cooling, or 150W with unrestricted convection cooling.
• Standard versions available with 5.1 V, 12 V, 15 V, 24 V, 28 V, or 48 V output
• Over 70% efficiency including PFC input
• Small SMM200 4.5" x 8.5" x 1.7" size.
• Power fail warning, DC OK, auxiliary fan output and remote sensing

SMM200-1 multiple output medical power supply

• Provide 225W of continuous power with forced-air cooling, or 150W with unrestricted convection cooling.
• Standard versions available with 3.3 V, 5.1 V, 12 V, 15 V, 24 V, 28 V, or 48 V output
• Over 70% efficiency including PFC input
• Small Size (SMM200-1)…4.0" x 7.0" x 1.7" size.
• Power fail warning, DC OK, auxiliary fan output and remote sensing
